The Florence Ceramics Company was founded by Florence Ward in 1940's and produced some of America's finest semi-porcelain figurines during the late 40's - early 60's. This lovely figure is "Sarah", outfitted in Godey fashions of the late nineteenth century. She stands 7 1/2" tall and is attired in a flowing light brown dress. She carries a burgundy purse and is wearing a matching colored hat which ties in a large bow. Beautiful blond hair, brown eyes and ruby lips compliment her facial features. The base is stamped mark #2, "Pasadena California Copyright Florence Ceramics" as well as incised "Sarah". There are no cracks, chips or repairs on this lovely figurine
