The Bing & Grondahl Company was established in 1853 by Grondahl, who was a figurine maker for the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory, and the Bing brothers, who were art and book dealers. In 1987 the company merged with its primary competitor, under the name Royal Copenhagen.

This darling Bing & Grondahl figurine #2251, circa 1950's, is called "Who is Calling". The figure portrays a young boy who is looking up and back to find out who is calling for him. Dressed in the typical shades of blue, tan and white noted for in B&G figures. The figurine measures approximately 6 1/8" in height and 3 1/2" across. Stamped in green with the "Three Royal Towers of Copenhagen - B&G - Kjobenhavn - Made in Denmark", circa 1952-1957; also in blue "B&G" and in green model "2251" and artists initials "EN". There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
