Cybis Porcelain "In Clover" Deer Mouse Figurine
It was in central Europe that the artist Boleslaw Cybis, (1895-1957), founder of the Cybis Porcelain spent most of is youth. The Cybis Porcelain Company was founded in he early 1940's and has become world famous as America's oldest porcelain art studio for museum quality sculptures of world-class art.
This adorable Cybis Porcelain Figurine, circa 1972, is a Deer Mouse nibbling on a bit of clover leaf. This tiny critter is soft shaded gray with pink highlights on his little mouse nose, inside his ears, on his hands and feet and big black eyes. He is standing on a round base of dark green clover leaves. His long tail extends from his back around to the front of figurine. He measures 3 1/2" tall with a 2-3/4" across the base. It is stamped on the base "Cybis" with the copyright insignia. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. So cute.
