The frosted Ribbon pattern was manufactured by Bakewell, Pears and Company, Pittsburgh, PA, in the late 1870's. Made in non-flint, clear, the ribbon stripes were machine ground, rather than acid finished to give the appearance of frosting. The pattern consists of vertical ribbons, alternating between clear and frosted. The spouts, handles, finials and bases are always clear.
This set consists of a covered sugar bowl, 8" in height; cream pitcher, 6" in height and spoon holder, 5 3/4" in height. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Great set.
