Royal Doulton has been producing porcelain ceramics and dinnerware for approximately 200 years. From a meager beginning in 1815, John Doulton amassed one of the largest pottery and porcelain factories the world has ever know.
This wonderful Persian cat figurine was designed by Albert Hallam in 1963 for the Beswick Porcelain Company. Beswick was purchased by Royal Doulton in 1969 and continued to produce the Beswick models with Beswick and Royal Doulton backstamps. This figure, circa 1990, is all white with great face and green eyes in a glossy glaze. It stands 8" in height and carries the Royal Doulton backstamp which was used from 1932-2000 and impressed number "1867". It will come with the original box. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. A lovely figurine.
