The Tiffin Glass Company was founded in 1889 by A.J. Beatty in Tiffin, Ohio. Tiffin glass was billed as "America's Prestige Crystal" and was advertised as being "within reach of the limited budget". At one time the out of Tiffin was double that of A.H. Heisey and Cambridge. Production ceased in 1983.
This lovely round beaded stem compote is the "June Night" pattern #17392, circa 1941-1966. The motif consists of panels and cartouches of etched floral and lace design. The pattern has many characteristics of the "Cherokee Rose" pattern and will work together to create a beautiful table setting. The compote measures 6 1/2" in height and 6 3/8" across. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Two compotes are available for sale. Other items in this pattern are in my store.
