This is a wonderful pair of souvenir plates from Delavan and Delavan Lake, Wisconsin, circa 1920's.
One plate has a central transfer design of a school building with the caption "High School Delavan, Wis". The other plate as a central transfer design of an auditorium with the caption "Auditorium Assembly Grounds, Delavan Lake, Wisconsin. Both plates have a scalloped and embossed outer rim with narrow gold edge. Surrounding the center transfers are eight clusters of pink roses, white lily of the valley and green foliage in a transfer motif. The plates measure 7 3/4" across, are unmarked as to manufacturer. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; minor gold wear on the edges. Great souvenir pieces with sharp detailed transfer images.
