Jacob H. Stouffer was born in Adeline, Illinois. He opened his decorating studio in Chicago in 1905 which continued until 1952. The high period of Stouffer hand painted china appears to have spanned the years from 1905 to 1925. During this time the company employed some of the best decorators of that era.
This stunning hand painted cabinet plate, circa 1906-1914, is decorated in a beautiful pansy floral motif.
