The Fostoria Glass Company was built in 1887 at Fostoria, Ohio, but by 1891 had moved to Moundsville, West Virginia, where it remained until operations ceased in 1986. By the late 1930's, Fostoria was recognized as the largest producer of handmade glassware in the world.
This elegant set of 6 cut crystal champagne/tall sherbets are the "Holly" cut pattern #815 using the classic stem #6030. The pattern motif is a leaf wreath/garland surrounding the bowl. The classic stem gives the illusion of a Roman column. This lovely pattern was produced from 1942-1980. The champagne/tall sherbet measures 5 3/4" in height and 3 1/2" across the top. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Additional items of this pattern are in my store.
