The Fostoria Glass Company was built in 1887 at Fostoria, Ohio, but by 1891 had moved to Moundsville, West Virginia, where it remained until operations ceased in 1986. By the late 1930's, Fostoria was recognized as the largest producer of handmade glassware in the world.
This elegant set of 5 etched crystal water goblets are the "Lido" etched pattern #329 using the beautiful sceptre stem #6017. The pattern motif gives the illusion of milkweed puffs or fireworks lighting the night sky. The popular pattern was produced from 1937-1954. The goblet measures 7 1/2" in height and 3 1/2" across the top. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Two sets of 5 are available for purchase. Additional items of this pattern are in my store.
