Kay Finch Ceramics was one of the most successful and respected of the California commercial artwork studios of the 1940's and 1950's. Her first commercial success come in 1940 and prospered until she ceased operations in 1963, after the death of the husband.
This enjoyable "Owl" figure was available as part of a family, Daddy, Ma Ma and Baby owl. Hand decorated in a soft gray with different shades of brown with blue and black highlights, she is quite striking; just look at those eyes. The Ma Ma figure measures 5 3/4" in height and is unmarked. Various marks were used, including paper labels during the existence of the company. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Start your own "owl" family and enjoy.
