The A.H. Heisey & Company was founded in 1895 in Newark, Ohio. From the inception of the business, Heisey glass-ware was often advertised to be the finest crystal in America that was made by hand. The company ceased operations in 1957. During the 1930's - 1950's, the company produced various animal and human figures in the form of stem-ware and figurines.
This wonderful pair of crystal geese were made from 1942 - 1953. The one figure is called "Wings Half" and measures 8 1/2" in length and 4 1/4" in height; the other is called "Wings Up" and measures 7 1/2" in length and 6 1/2" in height. Both are marked with the "H" within a diamond near the base of the figure. There are no cracks, chips or repairs on these sparkling crystal figurines.
