Hand painted china is so beautiful no matter if executed in a factory decorating department, professional studio or home-studio environment. The quality of the finished product is what really matters.
This lovely set of coup-style dessert plates were probably done in a small home-studio during the early 1900's when china decorating was in vogue by individuals and small local clubs. Each plate is just a bit different in its presentation. The motif is a stunning array of white daisy flowers with pastel green and gray-green foliage against a shaded background of soft green, blue, pink and cream colors. The Gently scalloped plates have a narrow gold edge and measure 6 7/8" across. The mark in green is "Limoges France". There are no cracks, chips, repairs or enamel wear. Great set.
