From the late 1800's until the mid-1960's, the Jewel Tea Company was popular with the homemaker. In 1911, as a marketing tool, Haviland & Co. manufactured a pattern called The Autumn Leaf, which was sold through the Jewel Tea Company. Other variations of this pattern were made, but were not sold by Jewel Tea.
This set of 4 cups & saucers with grooved handles, are the original Jewel Tea pattern, Schleiger #60, decorated with leaves ablaze in fall colors. The saucer measures 5 3/8" across, the cup measures 3 1/8" across and 2" in depth. The company mark I is "Haviland France" in green, circa 1894-1931. The decorator mark is "Decorated By - Haviland Co. - Limoges" in red, circa 1889-1931.
There are no cracks, chips, repairs or discoloration. Three sets of 4 are available for sale. I have additional items in this pattern in my store.
