From the late 1800's until the mid-1960's, the Jewel Tea Company was popular with the homemaker. In 1911, as a marketing tool, Haviland & Co. manufactured a pattern called The Autumn Leaf, which was sold through the Jewel Tea Company. Other variations of this pattern were made, but were not sold by Jewel Tea.
This nice oval serving platter, is the original Jewel Tea pattern, Schleiger #60, decorated with leaves ablaze in fall colors. The platter measures 11 3/4" in length and 8 1/2" in width. The company mark I is "Haviland France" in green, circa 1894-1931. The decorator mark is "Decorated By - Haviland & Co. - Limoges" in red, circa 1889-1931.
There are no cracks, chips, repairs or discoloration. I have additional items in this pattern in my store.
