From the late 1800's until the mid-1960's, the Jewel Tea Company was popular with the homemaker. In 1911, as a marketing tool, Haviland & Co. manufactured a pattern call The Autumn Leaf, which was sold through the Jewel Tea Company. Other variations of this pattern were made, but not sold by Jewel Tea.
This lovely covered sugar and creamer set with grooved handles and lid finial, is the original Jewel Tea pattern, Schleiger #60, decorated with leaves ablaze in fall colors. The covered sugar bowl measures 6 1/2" from handle-to-handle and the creamer is 5 1/2" from spout-to-handle. The company mark I is "Haviland France" in green, circa 1894-1931. The decorator mark is "Decorated By - Haviland & Co. - Limoges" in red, circa 1889-1931.
There are no cracks, chips, repairs or discoloration. I have additional items in this pattern in my store.
