An American, David Haviland, was an importer of French and English porcelains during the early to mid-1800's. In 1849 he moved his family to Limoges, France, to begin his own porcelain manufacturing and decorating factory an as a result, Haviland China, was born. Upon his death in 1879, his sons split the company. Charles formed Haviland & Co., and Theodore formed Theodore Haviland which produced this item.

The pattern is Apple Blossom, which consists of delicate white/pink shaded flowers with a background of soft green and gray flora on a cream colored blank with gold trim. The pattern was produced from 1940-1989. This piece carries the Mark T which was used from 1937-1956. This lovely creamer is the 6 oz size and measures 2 5/8" in height and 5 1/2" from handle-to-spout. The red and black mark is "Theodore Haviland - New York - Made in America - Apple Blossom". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; some minor utensil marks or gold wear may be present. Have additional pieces of this pattern in my store.
