The Dugan Glass works carried various names through its history because of business affiliates. Indiana Glass Co 1892-1899; National Glass Co 1900-1903; Dugan Glass Co 1904-1909 and Diamond Glass Co 1910-1931 when it closed because of a fire.
This well known pattern "Coin Spot" was made by the Dugan Company and was continued by Diamond Glass. Only a goblet and this compote was made in various colors. This colorful footed compote measures 6 1/2" across and 4 3/8" in height. The gently scalloped bowl is peach opalescent that turns a darker marigold iridescent toward the bottom and sits on a clear stem with round base. The bottom portion of the bowl and stem is impressed with the coin spot design. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; some wear on the marigold flashing.
