The A.H. Heisey & Co. was founded in 1895 in Newark, Ohio. From the inception of the business, Heisey glassware was often referred to be the finest crystal in America that was made by hand. The company ceased operations in 1957.
This lovely set of 4 crystal luncheon plates is the Ipswich pattern that was produced from 1931 until the late 1940's. The square plates measure 8" across and each are marked with the raised Heisey "H" within the diamond logo. There are no cracks, chips or repairs, near mint condition with a only a few very light if any utensil marks.
