Karen Sebiri, New York jewelry designer and daughter of the celebrated designer Celia Sebiri enjoyed working closely with her mother in the design and creation of one-of-a-kind works of art in the jewelry fashion trade. It is rare to find a piece signed by Karen Sebiri. Her hand-crafted pieces were sold along with those of Celia Sebiri in such prestigious stores as Neiman Marcus, Saks, Sakowitz and high-end boutiques.
This lovely pair of clip earrings, circa 1970's, incorporates the art of inlaid stones to create a design and statement. I believe the inlay consists of medium blue and pink agate with a small triangular piece of turquoise as an accent. The stones are bezel mounted in brass fittings and measure 1" in length and 3/4" in height. One earring is hand-signed "Karen Sebiri"; the brass findings have their original patina. Excellent Condition. Great set from an American designer.
