Star and Staret jewelry was originally produced by the Star Novelty Company, Inc of Chicago. The company began making costume pieces marked "Star" in 1925 -1940. The company changed its name to "Staret" in the 1940's. Known for exuberant design and exceptional use of enameling and high quality rhinestones. The company ceased operations in 1947.
This fantastic creation, circa 1940's, is gold plating over pot metal. Oval in shape, it measures 3 1/2" in length and 2" in width. Set with a multitude of baguette, marquise and chaton rhinestones of various sizes in beautiful pastel shades of pink, blue, lavender, green and clear. The condition is excellent vintage with no missing rhinestones and very little metal wear. Lots and lots of sparkle; you will be the center of attention.
