Hand painted porcelain is so beautiful no matter if done in a factory, professional decorating studio or a small home-studio environment. The overall quality of the piece is what really matters. This lovely hand decorated mustard pot was expertly decorated in a home-studio.
The blank is stamped with the "Silesia" fleur-de-lis mark in blue used by Herman Ohme, Nieder Salzbrun, Silesia (now Poland) from 1882 -1928. The mustard pot, circa 1910 - 1920, is covered with dark yellow tea roses with shaded green leaves and stems against a soft pastel creamy yellow background. The handle and lid finial is gold gilt. The mustard measures 3" in height. The base is marked with the decorators name "E Webster". There are no cracks, chips or repairs; lovely for your china closet or dinner table.
