T & R Boote Company, Burslem, Staffordshire, England was in existed from 1842 - 1906.
This lovely pair of luncheon plates are the "Summer Time" pattern, circa 1878. The central motif of the plates consist of various forms of flora with several butterflies fluttering above. The rim is decorated with geometric designs, all done in a shade of medium brown color. The plates measure 8 3/4" across and are marked with the Royal Arms Insignia and "Royal Premium - T & R Boote - England" as well as the English Register indicating November 26, 1878 and pattern name "Summer Time". There are no cracks, or repairs; each plate as a 1/8" or smaller glaze flake under the rim which does not impact the front of the plate; very light overall crazing. Nice pattern. Priced accordingly.
