A beautiful hand-painted cabinet plate by Buchanan Studio, circa 1915. There were numerous china decorating studio around the turn of the twentieth century, creating wonderful pieces of art on porcelain. This lovely cabinet plate is painted on a "T & V Limoges France" blank. The floral design of aster blossoms and buds is shades of light pink, dark pink and white with green leaves against a cream background with pastel pink, blue and green highlights and narrow gold edge. The plate measures 9 1/4" across and is stamped "The Buchanan Studio - Hand Painted - Indianapolis". Artist signed on the front. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. Beautiful.
