The Watt Pottery Company, Crooksville, Ohio, was incorporated in 1922 and remained in operation until a fire in 1965. In the late 1940's the company concentrated on kitchen ware and in 1949 began hand decorating their items.
This wonderful #15 Rooster one pint pitcher is one of their most popular patterns. It was introduced in 1955 and is decorated is decorated with a large figure of a rooster in shades of deep red, dark green and black. It stands 5 1/2" in height and 5 3/4" from spout to handle. Impressed on the base "Oven Ware U.S.A. and 15". The item is in very collectible condition; there is a repaired flake on the interior next to the handle and a minor glaze flake on the underside of the spout.
