Marian Haskell began making jewelry to compliment fashions of the time in 1924. Her handmade jewelry designs have become increasing collectible.
This lovely Haskell brooch, circa 1950's, starts with a beautiful filigree gold-tone back. The center is set with a large round faux cultured pearl approximately 3/4" across which is accented by many, smaller, hand-wired pearls. The brooch measures 3" in length and 1" in width and has a safety clasp mechanism. Marked "Mariam Haskell" on an oval cartouche. Notice the subtle variations in the filigree backing. No damages; in wonderful vintage condition.
