The Jasba Keramik Company was established in 1926 by Jakob Schwaderlopp of Baumbach, West Germany, for the production of terracotta vases and pots. In 1937 glazed ceramics was added to the mix. Since 1964, Jasba Mosaik GubH has concentrated on mosaic tiles for walls and floors. This classic design is called "Verona" and was designed by Cilli Worsdorfer for Jasba in 1958. It is artfully sectioned into geometric designs done in a gray, textured glaze. A few of the areas are done in a high glaze of white, yellow or maroon. The vase stands 8" in height, has the original foil label "Jasba Keramik" on the side and is marked "Germany 594" in raised letters on the base. Jasba ceased production in 1971. There are no cracks, chips or repairs on this item. Wonderful modern era German ceramic vase.
