Albert Weiss, who gained experience by working at Coro, founded the Weiss Company in 1942. Albert designed the jewelry and much was produced in his own factory. The factory ceased operations in 1971.
This lovely starfish-shaped brooch, circa 1960, has a unique antiqued silver-tone framework decorated with a large blue/green cabochon and matching aurora borealis rhinestones. The brooch measures 2 3/4" across and has a safety clasp mechanism. Marked "Weiss" in an oval cartouche with the copyright symbol. Great design, color & sparkle.
