Carlton Ware was a product of Wiltshaw & Robinson, Carlton Works, Stoke, Staffordshire Potteries, England, which operated from 1890 - 1957, after which Ltd was added to the name. This lovely pair of condiment dishes, circa 1940 - 1950, are in the shape of a apple leaf in buttery yellow with heavy veining. Further enhanced by raised green leaves, pink apple blossom, fruit and brown stem. They measure 4 1/2" long and 3 3/4" wide. Marked on the base "Carlton Ware - Made in England - Trade Mark Registered - Australian Design Registration Applied For", decorators insignia and impressed "1621". There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
