Coro Vendome Gold-Tone, Enameled Floral & Rhinestone Decorated Brooch
Coro produced the Vendome line from 1944 - 1979. Named for a city in France, Vendome is associated with high-end Coro designs.
This lovely floral brooch is constructed of heavy gold-tone metal. The large blossom is enameled in shades of blue with gold edges and small diamond rhinestone stamens. Enameled green leaves with gold edges form the background. On the reverse, the gold-tone is smooth on the flower and textured on the leaves and stem. A very 3-dimensional design, with safety clasp closure and marked "Vendome" on a rectangular cartouche. Most marked pieces were produced after 1953. Measuring 3" across and 2" high this brooch is in near mint condition.
