William Hobe immigrated to the United States from France in the first part of the twentieth century. The original family-owned-and-operated Hobe Cie jewelry company began in 1927 and was sold in the late 1990's or 2000. The Hobe mark is still being used today. This lovely gold-tone brooch is created from five wonderfully detailed leaves each decorated with an emerald green bezel-set baguette rhinestone and a row of clear prong-set round rhinestones forming the center vein of each leaf. The brooch measures 3" in length and 2" in width with secure safety clasp and a loop so it can be worn as a pendant. Marked "Hobe" within an oval cartouche with the copyright symbol above the o. Near mint condition for your wearing enjoyment.
