This beautiful large bow-shaped brooch, circa 1940 - 1950, was created from sterling silver ribbons and plated with gold vermeil. To further enhance the brooch the center of the bow contains a large oval, prong-set, open-back, faux blue sapphire setting measuring 1" by 3/4" in size. Unmarked as to maker, the brooch has the characteristics of Boucher, Mazer or Jomaz. The brooch measures 2 1/2" wide and 2" long and is stamped "sterling". Near mint condition. Ready to wear.
