A lovely cased glass bowl with spatter or end-of-day decoration by a major glass manufacturer, circa 1880. It could be American or European; no matter, it's beautiful. Rounded body with crimped square top and nice polished pontil. A white interior lining with an exterior of soft creamy yellow infused with splotches of dark burgundy and steel gray all encased in clear glass. The bowl measures 4 3/4" across and 3" in depth. Wonderful bell-tone ring when lightly taped, this piece is free of any cracks, chips or repairs.
