The Emmons company was founded in 1949, by Charles H. Stuart, and was originally based in Newark, New York. Stuart marketed the jewelry through home parties. Emmons went out of business in 1981. This attractive brooch is composed of thermoset plastic cabochons in patriotic colors of red, white and blue. The cabochons in square, tear-drop and navette shapes are open-back, bezel mounted in a heavy gold-tone setting, with safety clasp mechanism. The brooch measures 2" across and is near mint condition for you enjoyment.
