An early pawn sand-cast silver and turquoise cuff bracelet. This wonderful bracelet, probably created by a Navajo craftsman, circa 1930 - 1950, would have been for their personal wear and not made for the tourist market. The turquoise nugget is approximately 1" by 3/4" and has great dark silvery matrix markings and dark blue color. The sand cast silver bracelet measures 1 1/2" across the top, is 2 1/4" from side-to-side with a 3/4" opening between bands. The two sides are not perfectly matched in shape; this is probably the result from years of wear. There are two small plates on the underside which may be original to the bracelet or an old repair or re-enforcement. None of this will affect wearing of the item. (see photos). There are no damages to the item and it retains its original patina. A great piece of early Native American craftsmanship.
