Marcel Boucher, a jewelry designer, established his company in New York in 1937, where he produced creative and imaginative designed jewelry. Born in France, he emigrated to the U.S. in the early 1920's and first worked for Mazer Brothers in New York during the early 1930's. He died in 1966 and his company continued until 1979 when it was sold to D'Orlan Industries.

This lovely brooch is composed of three over-lapping sections, each containing nine gold-tone ropes, studded with flat round disc. It measures 1 3/4" across, safety clasp closure, gold-tone findings and is marked "Boucher" with the copyright symbol, which was used after 1955 and the number "673". Original, near mint condition for your enjoyment.
