The importers, Blakeman & Henderson were active during the period of 1890's until the early 1900's with the importation of china into the United States. They commissioned the decorating of these pieces to their specifications, which was always of very high quality. This beautiful Limoges charger, circa 1890's, is decorated with a heavy gold-encrusted design of scrolls, dots, arches, leaves and fleur-de-lis. Measuring 12" across with a gently scalloped edge which is also gold trimmed. It is marked marked "B & H Limoges" in a shield (B45b mark) and "Blakeman & Henderson - Limoges France" in script (B45c mark). The condition is near mint, with no cracks, chips, repairs or scratches; looks as though it was hardly if ever used. Beautiful piece of B & H Limoges.
