For the American housewife during the period immediately following World War II, the late 1940's through the 1950's, chances are a napkin doll sat on the kitchen counter or resided in a corner cabinet waiting to take her place on the next party buffet. The wooden models have been misidentified as miniature dress forms and cardholders. These cute wooden examples are products of Japan. One is dressed in red and gold with a blue head-piece and the other is dressed in yellow and gold with a green head-piece. They stand 11 1/4 tall with no body or paint damage; may never have been used. Time to restart a tradition. NOTE: THE YELLOW DOLL IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
