Snappy and cute at the same time. This lovely little Mandalian art deco, flapper era purse is made of enameled metal mesh with a chain handle. At the time these enameled purses were created, they were enameled by hand. The enameling process required a very thin coat by the artist and coating many times after each coat had dried. It has an ornate embossed silver tone metal frame with a kiss closure and finishes in a 'V' with chain fringe. The lovely art deco design makes this purse stand out from others. It is near perfect condition with minimal sag on the sides. It appears to have 2 missing chains at the bottom but is not noticeable to the casual observer. Very sweet geometric and flower design in hunter green and orange on a cream background. It measures 7 inches from the kiss closure to the bottom of the longest chain x 3.5 inches wide. The chain handle measures 5.5 inches from the longest point to the top of the frame. Front and back of the bag are the same design. This is a very nice example of Art Deco design.
