Original oil landscape painting of a parisian street representing the Tour Clovis. The painting is dated 1911 as well as signed by russian artist Pospolitaki. An old stamp on the back says : "4th Salon du Mobilier, Grand Palais des Champs Elysées", dated from 1911.
The painting was cleaned and restored by a hired profesionnal restorer, impeccable condition, ready to be displayed.
About the artist :
Pospolitaki was born in Russia, Temruk. He enrolled in 1893 at an art academy and discovered a passion for painting. He then founded an art school in Ekatirinodar in Koubagne, then moved to Paris in 1905, after taking part in the International Exhibition in Paris in 1889.
The Clovis Tower in Paris, ancient tower of the Abbey St. Géneviève, today is located within the grounds of the current Lycée Henri IV.
