Georges Frédéric Rötig (1873-1961) is a renowned french animal painter. After finishing the prestigious Beaux arts de Paris, he received several awards at the "Salon des artistes français" (particularly in 1903) as well as the Prix Rosa-Bonheur of 1913.
Several of Rötig's paintings are displayed in public Museums around France : at the Musée du Havre, Amiens, Cambrai and Vernon. His works are also periodically presented at auction sales.
The etching is in an impeccable condition, signed on lower right side.
