Vintage Hand Painted Morimura Nippon Condiment/Jam Pot w/Lid & Atch Underplate
Ca. 1891 - 1921 ▪ Hallmarked ▪ Japan

A charming and early Morimura Brothers condiment/jam pot featuring hand painted raspberries on the vine with a pink blossom and shaded yellow leaves. Both the pot and attached saucer are oval in shape, and the lid is notched for a spoon. The original, of which, has been misplaced sometime over the years. The finial and double handle tops are gilt covered. And gold trim completes the decoration.

A delightful and functional addition to the breakfast table, bed tray or tea service.

* CONDITION: Through normal use and ware over its nearly 100 years of age, there is a tiny spot of paint loss and minor rubbing to tip of the finial. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Very good condition.

- oval pot measures 4 1/8" hndl-to-hndl x 3 1/4" H incl finial
