Item: Mid 19th Century Antique Architectural Print J Woods Engraving Hablot Browne London Bridge. London Bridge from the south-west – Fishmongers’ Hall, the Monument and the spire of St. Magnus the Martyr beyond. Engraved by John Woods (fl.1835-1855) from a study by Hablot Knight Browne based on a drawing by Robert Garland. Originally produced for Wood’s “History of London : Illustrated by Views”, first published in parts 1837-1838 and subsequently reissued in various guises between 1838 and 1862. The framing appears to be original.
Measurements: 11 inches long and 10 inches tall - framed. The portion of the engraving visible under the matting measures 6 & 1/2 inches by 4 & 3/4 inches.
Condition: Used, previously owned. There is some yellowing associated with age. There are perforations in the brown paper on the back. There are some some rubs, scratches on the frame.
