This pretty Davenport muffin or side plate with Chinese style decoration is 6" in diameter. The underglaze blue pattern has hand colored overglaze enamels in pink, yellow, orange, green, and gold.
I date it 1805-1820 per Godden's mark 1183, which is printed in blue: DAVENPORT STONECHINA . The pattern number 659 is hand painted in brown.
This pattern is shown on a stone china soup plate in "Davenport China, Earthenware & Glass, 1794-1887" by Lockett & Godden, page117, #89, where it is compared with the similar Davenport pattern #568 which was used on bone-china wares.
Condition? It rings when struck, so no cracks or hairlines. There are utensil marks. Also, two small glazed over nicks to the foot rim.
