This attractive antique oil painting has a "country" feeling. The basket is tipped, and the apples are spilling out. One lone pear leans against the basket's lid. The best touch is the label tied with twine to the basket's handle.
The original c.1880 gilded frame is about 26" x 20". The sight size of the painting is about 21-1/2" x 15-1/2".
Both the painting and the frame are in very good, un-retouched condition. There are several speck sized chips to the painting, mostly along the outer edges. The painting is not signed.
