This gorgeous scalloped plate is large: 9-3/4". Although the colors are in the Imari palette, the design is more in the Chinese manner. There is no evidence of any transfer. The plate is entirely hand painted in blue, red-orange, and gold.
The condition is very good. There are no cracks, chips, or repairs. There is overall crazing, but no discoloration. The plate rings when tapped. There are a few utensil marks. I show the worst in a close-up photo.
The mark, in red, dates the plate between 1806 to 1825.
