Antique Still Bank, House Form, Spongeware Pottery, 19th C - image 1 of 8

This rare money box modeled as a house or cottage stands about 5-1/2" high. Because of the brown sponged mottling, the various chips aren't too glaring.

Although the bank is not cracked, there are chips almost everywhere...please scrutinize photos. However, the fact remains that this very fragile pottery still bank has survived for over 100 years.

There are no marks on the base. I believe this bank is English, and from the Staffordshire area. But it may be American Yellow Ware.
