This gorgeous platter is in absolutely fabulous condition. No chips, no cracks, no repairs, no wear, and it has a nice ring when tapped.
The cobalt blue color of the border is not quite as dark as the photos show it. The platter measures 10-3/4" long and 8-1/2" wide. It dates c. 1835.
Marked on the back with the British Royal Arms and JR. (for John Ridgway)of Cauldon Place, Shelton,Hanley, Staffordshire. The pattern number seems to be 6927.
A matching 8-1/2" plate is also available here in my shop.
