The darling Dutch Boy rests his arm on the lustre decorated frame which holds the calendar. The piece measures about 4" high and 4-1/2" wide.

Excellent condition! No chips, no cracks, no wear to the paint. The original calendar (protected over the years in a glassine envelope) is included. This would also be great to display a shop or business card.

The holder has an impressed "Made in Japan" mark on the back. I date this c.1924, because the original calendar shows November 1st as a Saturday. In 1924 Saturday fell on November 1st. In no other year from 1921 to 1940, did that date fall on a Saturday. According to Sandra Andracht's book the "Made in Japan" mark was only used from 1921-1940.
