This attractive Ridgway Vase is about 9-1/2" high. It sports a typical Ridgway feature of dolphin handles. The pheasants and out-sized flowers are done in the Chinese style.
The vase is in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, and no repairs. There is light crazing in a few places, and slight wear to the gilding in a few spots. It is marked with the Ridgway pattern number 4/6128.
Angela Grant of the great on-line "Ridgway Pattern Book" has worked out that the changeover of pattern series numbers from 3/ to 4/ took place late in 1872, so the 4/ series was manufactured under Ridgway, Sparks, & Ridgway 1873-1879.
This vase can be seen on that very informational website.
